Every M.A.T.S. program is designed to work together to help mothers and sons build confidence, strengthen relationships, develop life skills, and create meaningful connections with their community.

  • 4L LAB

    4L Lab is a monthly in-person leadership and personal development experience for boys in grades K–8, centered around the four pillars of Learn, Lead, Live, and Love Together.

    With me growing up in a one parent household with a mother. I know the struggles that can come up with a single mother raising a son by herself.

    Growing up I’ve always heard it takes a village to raise a child so with M.A.T.S. I feel it will add to that village to help mothers raising their sons.

    Other mothers and sons could benefit from M.A.T.S. by giving the mother extra help on raising their sons and maybe even fill the void of some sons not having a father. It could also strengthen the bond between mother and son causing both to better understand each other making raising a son a bit easier for the mother.

    I’ll be honest, I’m biased to how great the founder and M.A.T.S. is. The founder just so happens to be my son’s godmother; I couldn’t imagine anyone else creating a safe space for both the mother and the son.

    Whether M.A.T.S. or the personal connection, I’ve gained the knowledge and the understanding of how to communicate, how to relate to, motivate and correct certain behaviors of my own and my sons appropriately. During M.A.T.S. conception, I had one son, now I have two sons (24 and 9), and I’m still in need of this connection as times change and will be a forever member.
